Meghan Beals McCarthy, Michael Patrick Thornton to Be Artistic Creators for Theatre on the Lake
The Chicago Park District’s Theatre on the Lake has announced that it has appointed two new artistic creators, Meghan Beals McCarthy and Michael Patrick Thornton, according to the Chicago Tribune.
McCarthy, the associate artistic director of Chicago Dramatists, and Thornton, the artistic director of the Gift Theatre, will be taking over artistic direction of the program from Hallie Gordon of Steppenwolf Theatre.
Each summer, Theatre on the Lake presents productions by Chicago theater companies on its open-air stage.
