Reynolds received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in the revival of Irene. Her other Broadway credits include her one-woman show Debbie and Woman of the Year. She also performed her solo show at such diverse venues as the El Portal Theatre in Los Angles and the Café Carlyle in New York City.

She is well known for her movie appearances, which include Singin' in the Rain, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, The Tender Trap and That's Entertainment.
