Patti LuPone, Steve Martin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Kelli O’Hara, Sting, et al. Set for 2010 Ravinia Festival

Additional programming has been announced for the 2010 Ravinia Festival, in Highland Park, IL.

Previously announced highlights include Patti LuPone and Brian Stokes Mitchell in Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun (August 13-15), directed by Lonny Price and conducted by Paul Gemignani; Joshua Bell in concert (July 13); LuPone, Michael Cerveris, George Hearn, and Audra McDonald in Ravinia’s Sondheim Gala (July 31); selections from Candide (July 23), featuring Kim Criswell; Federica von Stade in a concert staging of Cosi Fan tutte (August 5 and 7); and Nathan Gunn in The Marriage of Figaro (August 6).

The previously announced tour of Sting accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will play July 17 and 18, while additional events at Ravinia will include Steve Martin with the Steep Canyon Rangers (June 12), Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion (July 3), Peter Yarrow and Noel (Paul) Stookey in a tribute to Mary Travers (July 20), Renee Fleming in Four Last Songs (July 24), The Music of ABBA (July 30), three-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara (August 4), Kiri Te Kanawa (August 18), and Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art and Music of Leonard Bernstein.
