Lifeline Theatre Announces 2009-2010 Season

Lifeline Theatre has announced their 2009-2010 season.

The Mainstage season will open with John Hildreth’s adaptation of Treasure Island, September 11-November 1, based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s tale of Jim Hawkins’ expedition to recover a fortune in plundered gold. The world premiere of Rachel Ingalls’ fable, Mrs. Caliban, adapted by Francis Limoncelli will play February 5-March 28, with Ann Boyd at the helm. Neverwhere, Robert Kauzlaric’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s urban fantasy of a shadow world beneath the city of London will premiere April 30-July 20.

Lifeline’s KidSeries will feature Dooby Dooby Moo, October 17-December 6, Jason Grote’s adaptation of Doreen Cronin’s popular bestseller, with music and lyrics by George Howe. Edith Nesbit’s The Last of the Dragons, adapted by David Bareford and directed by Dorothy Milne, will make its world premiere, January 2-February 21. Finally, Nambi E. Kelley’s musical The Blue Shadow will take the stage March 13-May 2, a retelling of world folktales.
