Gary Griffin to Direct The Music Man for Marriott Theatre

Gary Griffin will direct Meredith Willson’s The Music Man for the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Illinois, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune. The production will run November 3, 2010 – January 9, 2011.

In addition, the theater has also announced that David H. Bell will stage Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens’ Once on This Island (June 30 – August 29) and Mark Loccoco will direct A Chorus Line (September 1 – October 31). Marc Robin, as previously announced, will direct The Drowsy Chaperone (April 28 – June 27) at the theater.

The theater’s 2010 season begins next month with Fiddler on the Roof (February 17 – April 25), directed by Bell. A production of My Fair Lady continues at the Marriott through February 14.
