Complete casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway revival of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's 1928 comedy The Front Page. Directed by Jack O'Brien, the production will begin previews September 20 at the Broadhurst Theatre, with opening night set for October 20.

The play is set in the Press Room of the Criminal Courts Building in Chicago. It follows Hildy Johnson, a reporter with The Herald Examiner whose plans to break away from journalism and go on his belated honeymoon are foiled by the appearance of an escaped convict.

As previously announced, the comedy will star Nathan Lane (It's Only a Play) as editor Walter Burns, John Slattery (Mad Men, Rabbit Hole) as Hildy Johnson, John Goodman (Roseanne, Waiting for Godot), Jefferson Mays (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), and Sherie Rene Scott (Whorl Inside a Loop, Everyday Rapture).

They will be joined by Holland Taylor (Ann), two-time Tony winner Robert Morse (Mad Men, How to Succeed…), Dylan Baker, Patricia Conolly, Halley Feiffer, Dan Florek, John Magaro, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Christopher McDonald, David Pittu, Joey Slotnick, Lewis J. Stadlen, Micah Stock, and Clarke Thorell.

The Front Page will feature set design by Douglas W. Schmidt, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, and sound design by Scott Lehrer.

The production marks Morse's first Broadway appearance since his Tony-winning turn in 1989's Tru. He and Slattery costarred as ad executives Bert Cooper and Roger Sterling on the AMC series Mad Men.
