Broadway and television star Megan Hilty will headline a benefit concert for the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus at Citi Shubert on Friday, September 18, alongside Sirius/XM personality Seth Rudetsky. The performance will be part of Mark Cortale’s Broadway @ concert series, which features a combination of Broadway tunes and casual conversation between Rudetsky and his guest artist.

Hilty is best known for her two-season stint as triple-threat Ivy Lynn on the NBC series Smash. On Broadway, she has starred in the musicals 9 to 5 and Wicked, and will return to the stage in 2016 in the revival of Michael Frayn's Noises Off.

"The Boston Gay Men’s Chorus has just made history as the first gay chorus to tour the Middle East," says Craig Coogan the organization’s executive director. "How do you top that? Well, bringing in Megan Hilty and Seth Rudetsky is about the only way to do so! We are so lucky to have them come and support our work – it’s going to be a fantastic evening."

"I'm happy Megan and I are helping the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus," adds Rudetsky. "I have such great memories of singing in chorus, starting in third grade. I'd love to join BGMC but the commute from New York would kill me!"
