Randy Blair, Billy Sharp, Georgia Tapp to Star in Alabama Shakespeare’s 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Alabama Shakespeare Festival will close its 2011-2012 season with a production of William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin’s The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, to run August 10-September 2. Geoffrey Sherman directs.

The cast of the musical comedy, set during a wacky middle school spelling bee, includes Randy Blair (William Barfee), Eleni Delopoulos (Rona Peretti), Liz Froio (Logainne), John Garry (Leaf Coneybear), Kyle Scatliffe (Mitch Mahoney), Billy Sharp (Vice Principal Panch), Laura Yumi Snell (Marcy Park), Georgia Tapp (Olive Ostrovsky) and Brandon Yanez (Chip Tolentino).

The creative team includes Tom Griffin (musical director), Peter Hicks (set design), Jeffrey Todhunter (costume design), Phil Monat (lighting design) and Richelle Thompson (sound design).
