Stephanie J. Block, Kevin Loreque, Ken Page, et al. Set for Muny’s Cats

Complete casting has been announced for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, at The Muny in St. Louis, July 19-25. Suzanne Viverito will direct and choreograph, with musical direction by James Cunningham.

In addition to the previously reported Ken Page (Old Deuteronomy), Stephanie J. Block (Grizabella), and Lara Teeter (Munkustrap), the company will feature Michael Brian Dunn (Bustopher Jones/Asparagus/Growltiger), Joseph Medeiros (Mistoffelees), Kevin Loreque (Rum Tum Tugger), Christine Negherbon (Jennyanydots/Gumbie Cat Specialty), Kiira Schmidt (Cassandra), Julie Tolivar (Bombalurina/Gumbie Cat Specialty), Lisa Karlin (Demeter/Gumbie Cat Specialty), Ryan Breslin (Mongorjerrie/Genghis), Lauren Masiello (Rumpleteazer), Laura Irion (Sillabub/Moments of Happiness Specialty), Heather Mieko (Jellylorum), Drew Humphrey (Skimbleshanks Specialty), AJ Hughes (Plato/Macavity/Rumpus Cat), Sarah Marchetti (Victoria/Jellicle Ball Specialty), Alex DeLeo (Tumblebrutus), and Joey Dudding (Pounceable/Alonzo).

The production will also feature pit singers Anne Markt, Kelly O’Neill, Charles Osborne, and Teddy Stevenson. The creative team will include Steve Gilliam (set) and David Lander (lighting).

The season will continue with The Sound of Music (July 26 – August 1) starring Ashley Brown (Maria), Lewis Stadlen (Max), Leslie Denniston (Elsa), and Linda Mugelston (Mother Abbess).

Up next will be Footloose (August 2-8), with Curtis Holbrook (Ren McCormack), Meggie Cansler (Ariel Moore), Jeff McCarthy (Rev. Moore), Dee Hoty (Vi Moore), Anthony Cummings (Wes Warnicker), Jennifer Prescott (Ethel McCormack), Ben Crawford (Chuck Cranston), Kevin Massey (Willard Hewitt), and Cathryn Basile (Rusty).

The MUNY will next present Show Boat (August 9-15) featuring Michel Bell (Joe), Georgia Engel (Parthy Anne), and Gary Beach (Captain Andy).
