My Life as a Greek Tragedy

From the depths of Greek mythology and the imaginations of high school students, comes a new version of Euripides’ classic Orestes, the ancient Greek play detailing the effects of the curse of the House of Atreus upon famous siblings Orestes, Electra, Iphigenia and the lesser known Chrysothemis. Events are seen through the eyes of Chrysothemis as she struggles to make sense of the violence and terrible fates that have befallen her family. A visit to the Oracle to discover her destiny forms the basis of My Life as a Greek Tragedy. The play explores how our families define our actions in the world and who we grow up to be, as well as the many intricate details that destiny weaves into our lives.
