About This Show

Eight of the Navy’s most dynamic performers known as the U.S. Navy Cruisers will provide contemporary rock entertainment on July 23. The Cruisers, a specialty unit of the United States Navy Band, are a high-energy group that captivates audiences in the U.S. and abroad. The group takes its name from the Navy’s versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship – the Cruiser – and the band lives up to their namesake by having the capabilities of playing genres of music ranging from jazz & standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and pop as well as original material. All concerts are held on BlackRock’s outdoor stage and lawn at 7 pm. Picnics, lawn chairs and blankets are welcome!

BlackRock’s Free Summer Concert series is sponsored by: Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, Buch Construction, Hughes Network Systems, The Gazette, Maryland State Arts Council, Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Brickman, Dataprise, and Hilton Washington, DC North/Gaithersburg.
