The Rhythm Club

The Signature Theatre is proud to present the World Premiere of Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar’s Broadway-bound new musical! The musical begins in an underground joint known as The Rhythm Club. In the midst of the crowd are two teenage “swing boys,” Jacob Beck and Adam Gernstein. Jake and Adam decide to put together their own band in hopes of getting out of Germany. Jake finds the beautiful Petra, who agrees to become their singer. The band is a success and New York seems to be in sight. Adam will not be allowed to leave, however, because he is Jewish. Will Jake take the only opportunity he’ll ever get to become a famous bandleader, or will he sacrifice everything in order to save his friend’s life?
