Gorgeous and haunting, Conor McPherson’s drama, Shining City, uses richly drawn characters and powerful storytelling to weave a tale of love, loss, and faith. A recently bereaved widower (Ed Gero) seeks help from a therapist (Donald Carrier) when he begins seeing his wife’s ghost, but the therapist, a former priest, struggles with problems of his own. This production unites two of The Studio Theatre’s founders: director Joy Zinoman and resident scenic designer Russell Metheny, working together in the theatre that bears Metheny’s name.
Shining City will be performing in the Metheny Theatre.
