Orpheus In The Underworld

Offenbach’s satirical opera (1858) was a scandalous hit at its Parisian premiere. Orpheus and Eurydice, married for years, both seek romance elsewhere. Pluto kidnaps Euridyce, and meddlesome Public Opinion persuades Orpheus to rescue her. Meanwhile the other gods want a piece of the action!
