Once on This Island

The age-old story of star-crossed lovers gets a shot of Calypso rhythm and Caribbean heat in this bittersweet musical romance. Set against the backdrop of class differences in Haiti, Once on This Island uses soaring melodies and sultry dances to tell the story of Ti Moune, an orphan living among the island’s poor peasants and praying for a future that seems impossible.
