Kiki & Herb in Pardon Our Appearance is the newest incarnation from the creative team (all OBIE award recipients) of creator/performers Justin Bond and Kenny Mellman along with playwright Doug Wright, their artistic advisor. Hilarious and pathetic, Kiki is a boozed up, washed out lounge singer full of bitterness – and a few too many cocktails, while her accompanist Herb, a stolid piano-playing sidekick attacks the out-of-tune 88s with crazy abandon. This unique duo reinterprets pop songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s that serve to underscore Kiki’s rants and raves about her tragic life, career and miserable daughter
