About This Show

With a big band orchestra, singers and swing dancers, In The Mood is the 1940’s musical that brings to the stage the music that moved a nation’s spirit and helped win a war. More than a concert, In The Mood is a 1940’s Big Band Theatrical Swing Revue that brings to life the era when all of America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music: Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, and other greats of the 1940’s. In The Mood features a company of 19 including the In the Mood Singers and Dancers with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The show’s arrangements, costumes and choreography are as authentic as it gets! It’s a sentimental, romantic, patriotic, nostalgic, jazzy and patriotic tribute to America’s Greatest Generation that’s of interest to swing fans of all ages. In The Mood is celebrating its seventeenth year of national touring.
