About This Show

Chain features a 16-year-old African-American girl who became addicted to crack cocaine at the tender age of 13. Set in Harlem, in 1991, Rosa has been in and out of rehab several times to no avail. She keeps running away from help and back to the temptations of the streets. The play traces her parents’ intervention in what appears to be their “last ditch effort” to save her life. Ken Yatta Rogers directs.
