Carmen: An Afro-Cuban Jazz Musical

One of the greatest heroines in drama, Kaufman reimagines Carmen as a gun-runner for the rebels, who falls fiercely in love with Jose, a Batista loyalist. When the nation’s great boxing legend Escamillo returns to Havana, Carmen and Jose’s love falls tragically apart. With choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Next to Normal), this stunning new version of Carmen is sure to be one of the most talked-about productions of the year.
