About This Show

Anything Goes charts the shenanigans of a passenger ship bound for London where Billy stows away to win the heart of Hope, who is about to be married to a stuffy British nobleman. Stowing away with Billy are “Moonface” Martin (a gangster labeled “Public Enemy 13”) and his girlfriend Bonnie. In exchange for Billy’s silence about their infamy, Moonface and Bonnie join the plot to break up Hope’s engagement. Also aboard is nightclub singer Reno Sweeney who pledges to assist Billy’s romantic endeavor. As the show sails along, the passengers all end up in a variety of hysterically compromising positions. Anything Goes features music and lyrics by Cole Porter, with book by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse. Brad Watkins directs.
