A Commedia Romeo and Juliet

Shakespeare’s story of poetry-spouting lovers, squabbling fathers and dim-witted servants draws heavily on Commedia dell’Arte. The masks, acrobatics and humor from the Italian Comedy make the tragic turns cut all the more deeply. The Washington Post calls it "inspired."
