Our season will open in October 2023 with The Tragedy of Othello by Franky D. Gonzalez, BATC’s Playwright-In-Residence. The production will retain the original plot, but employ a modern aesthetic, language, and time period based in Dallas. The play centers on difficulties and obstacles of Imani Othello who has been named the first black woman head coach of a major football team.
