About This Show

What if you could read the future? Playwright Richard Greenberg draws
a vivid picture of American society just after the Great War. A new breed of
men returns home, convinced the future belongs to them, and among the most
visionary and optimistic is John Pace Seavering, a Princeton graduate and
fledgling book publisher. He begins his workday distracted. Two potential
clients — his lover and his best friend — both expect his devotion. His
eccentric assistant runs around the office, trying to get an odd printing
machine to work. He can’t find his theater tickets. All this seems to be
within his control – or is it?
