A remorseful father is driven to enlist the aid of a sorcerer to learn the whereabouts of his estranged son. The magician conjures three episodes from the young man’s life, each scene finds the boy in increasing danger. Only as the strange tale reaches its conclusion does the father confront the ultimate-and unexpected-truth about his son.
