In Hans Christian Anderson’s classic, The Emperor’s New Clothes, a fashion crazed Emperor and the crafty vagabonds he entrusts to dress him lead the court and the citizens of this topsy-turvy country on a merry chase. The two “tailors” convince the Emperor that the cloth they weave is endowed with magic powers, separating wise men from fools. The flames of fashion will rise and the Emperor will be left the biggest fool of all.
