A New Brain is the response of composer William Finn after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. His response was about the joy of living, not to the threat of death. Through a series of affectionately satiric jabs at hospital politics, lovers, mothers, and medical procedures, this production presents a witty and delightfully tuneful look at the “life” of an artist.
