Berkeley Rep’s Backstage Bash

Local theatre lovers can dine, drink, and dance with the stars at Berkeley Rep’s Backstage Bash. This new event takes place right on the stage of Berkeley Rep’s Roda Theatre, letting guests share the spotlight with 21 actors, designers, directors, and backstage pros. Come chat over dinner with Rita Moreno, share a toast with Barbara Oliver, or cut a rug with Les Waters. Berkeley Rep’s Backstage Bash is a benefit for the Tony Award-winning theatre, and proceeds from the event ensure that it continues bringing award-winning shows and extensive education programs to the Bay Area community.

The evening consists of two parts: the Footlight Dinner starting at 6:00 PM, followed by the Cast Party at 8:00 PM. Guests at the Footlight Dinner enjoy a marvelous meal from Grace Street Catering – and a noted Berkeley Rep artist is seated at every table. The Cast Party features wine-tasting, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and onstage dancing with live music from the Dick Bright Orchestra. Fine food and drink are provided by local favorites such as Café Clem, Gelateria Naia, Grove Street Winery, La Note, Liaison Bistro, Lulu Rae Confections, Raymond Vineyard & Cellar, and Ristorante Raphael.
