Preston Lane’s Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity, with original music by Laurelyn Dossett, proves that the most compelling storytelling finds a way to illuminate the familiar. It presents the Christmas story come to life in an Appalachian setting. Developed by the same team that created Brother Wolf, Triad Stage’s world premiere holiday celebration is a musical and storytelling journey from the creation of the world to the birth of Jesus.
