About This Show

Tom Wopat stars as Julian Marsh in Pittsburgh CLO’s production of 42nd Street. This Cinderella story of Broadway follows a bright-eyed, small town girl who thought she’d never see her name in lights, but fate had other plans. This inspiring tale of behind-the-scenes Broadway is a fast-paced song and dance extravaganza that has been dazzling audiences for more than two decades and is the epitome of a classic Broadway show.

The spectacular opening number features Pittsburgh CLO Academy students and community dancers along with the professional company. Come and meet these dancing feet and enjoy this toe-tapping, foot-stomping musical that includes “We’re in the Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway” and, of course, the irresistible title track, “42nd Street.” Don’t miss this high-energy, crowd-pleasing show that the whole family will enjoy!

Charles Repole directs, with musical direction by Craig Barna and choreography by Michael Lichtefeld. Based on the classic 1933 movie, the Tony Award winning production 42nd Street was brought to the stage by writers Mike Stewart and Mark Bramble, composer Harry Warren and lyricist Al Dubin.
