Incoming

Pregnant and not quite ready for motherhood, Sally stalls for time by hanging upside down on an inversion rack. Liz, her partner–spending too much time staring at Sally’s knees and baffled by her new penchant for constructing outrageously large baby toys–runs to her father for support. Except that he’s dying and Liz’s ex- lover is somehow trapped under his bed. A couple of hospital orderlies arrive to help out, but instead wax philosophical quoting Desiderata. Is this how all parenthood begins? Incoming is a comic fantasy exploring what it means to be a child, a parent, a family.
