About the Show
John O’Keeffe’s 18th century English comedy Wild Oats is a tale of multiple misunderstandings, outrageous coincidences, and, worst of all, actors roaming the countryside! An unlikely romance blossoms between a strolling Shakespearean player and a lovely Quaker maid. Misleading advice and mistaken identities quickly send events spiraling out of control, but of course, goodness and virtue triumph in the end.
