The Taming of the Shrew

Katarina drives her family crazy. Too spiritied to adopt the docile role her younger sister plays, she remains defiantly single, terrifying would-be suitors and jeopardizing her sister’s marital aspirations. Enter Petruchio, who’s come to wive it wealthily. With relief, Katarina’s father gives his eldest to Petruchio–but her heart isn’t part of the bargain. Petruchio’s fortune-hunting enterprise quickly veers off into a courtship that breaks all the rules and becomes something far stranger, and more rewarding, that either he or Katarina could have imagined.
