New York City
A bitter feud poisons the peace of Verona. The hatred dividing the Montagues and Capulets–some too old to fight and some too young to die–erupts in blood and violence. In this volatile, dangerous climate, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet dare to fall in love, defying their elders and crossing the line dividing their families. The passionate young lovers set in motion a chain of events that brings about a fragile peace–but at a terrible cost. Each show in the Oregon Shakespeare festival performs in repertory. Romeo and Juliet will perform in rotation with the other shows in the season; please visit www.osfashland.org for a full schedule.
