Les Misérables

Les Misérables, the legendary award-winning musical, makes
its eighth return engagement to Playhouse Square Center’s Allen
Theatre. Presented by Cameron Mackintosh, Les Misérables is a musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg.

Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Les Misérables is an epic saga that
sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th century France. It is also
the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the
cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert in a lifelong struggle to evade
capture.
