Cuttin’ Up

Local barbershops are communities unto themselves. Its denizens are the storytellers of their time, sharing the joys and troubles life hands them. Together, these colorful stories illustrate a remarkably simple truth: “When you have history, you belong.” Cuttin’ Up is based on the book by Craig Marberry, who co-wrote Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats.
