Ailey Classics features excerpts from classic works by Alvin Ailey, as well as a performance of Revelations in its entirety.
Under the artistic directorship of Judith Jamison, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will dazzle Greater Cleveland audiences at each of its three performances with an exciting repertory program that concludes with the masterpiece, Revelations.
Last season, The New York Times described Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performances as “steamy,” “emotionally intense” and “brilliant.” The Carib News also recently wrote, “Each and every dancer is a picture of perfection…” Their movements are electrifying, their poise and deportment are stimulating and the total effect of the complete production is a reflection of a modern company that is steeped in glorious dance traditions.”
