This new play by Thomas P. Carr centers on Judith Macmillan, who made her Broadway debut as a replacement in the chorus of Oklahoma! She would appear in the chorus of many of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals and went on to star in the numerous summer stock productions of those shows capturing audiences and critics alike. Now, retired , widowed and living alone in New Hope, PA, when Mark Landray, a young reporter with the county newspapers arrives on a snowy afternoon in December to do a story on her, little do they both know that their lives would change forever.
For almost 30 years, summer theatre in Dayton was synonymous with The Kenley Players. On Wednesday, March 24th, The Human Race Theatre Company will pay tribute to John Kenley with a special preview performance, followed in true Kenley tradition with a cast party at Marion’s Piazza.
