Afghan Women’s Writing Project

The Afghan Women’s Writing Project began during novelist Masha Hamilton’s trip to Afghanistan. AWWP helps Afghan women develop a direct voice and share their stories. Playwrights Lauren Hynek and Elizabeth Martin curate and direct a performance from those writings (www.awwproject.org).
