Beautiful New Music for the Season

This concert begins our 38^th season, and as is our tradition, we have commissioned a new work especially for the occasion from American composer, David Vess. David is a new Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition at Saint Mary’s College, so we are excited to have our audiences get to know his work!

Other works on the program from the 20^th and 21^st centuries will feature primarily American and British composers, including works with organ that feature our fantastic organist and accompanist, Kevin Vaughn. This annual holiday concert always draws a large crowd of Northwest Indiana residents. And this year we bring the concert 30 miles to south to the gorgeous Ancilla Domini Chapel for a second performance as well! It will close, as usual, with our traditional, candlelit “Silent Night.”
