Equal parts Steel Magnolias and Boys in the Band, Tomás is a modern deconstruction of Uncle Tom's Cabin that examines racism in the gay community. In the play, the elegant and self-identified "bougie" Tomás Monroe is planning the perfect Thanksgiving for his affluent and privileged friends. When a surprise visitor (or two) threaten to shake up the festivities, Tomás is forced to examine the relationships in his life and his place in the world.
