About This Show

The Schoolhouse Theater presents The Baby Dance, a funny and poignant examination of life, fertility, and the power of money. It brings together a California couple with enough money to buy anything, and a Louisiana trailer park family too poor to afford their fifth child. Ulitmately, it leads to a “dance” between the two couples in their efforts to get and give a child. It is a brilliant and shattering portrayal of the harshest truths of American family values.

Written by Jane Anderson. Mahayana Landowne directs.

Come see why last April once again, The New York Times proclaimed The Schoolhouse, “The little theater that CAN!”
