Eve Ensler, Obie award winning playwright of The Vagina Monologues will appear in a conversation with Gloria Feldt at Riverspace Arts in Nyack.

Ms. Ensler has connected with women all over the world, telling their stories in her plays, books and films. Unwilling to be silenced, she gives voice to women’s most personal moments – moments of triumph and tragedy. Ms. Ensler is an ardent activist on behalf of women. She has traveled from the United States to Afghanistan, Bosnia, Africa, Asia, Israel and Mexico listening to the stories women have to tell and making sure the world is listening, too

Eve Ensler received the Guggenheim Fellowship Award in Playwriting as well as the 2002 Amnesty International Media Spotlight Award.

She is the founder of V-Day (Vday.org), a global movement to end violence against women and girls. V-day has raised $35 million dollars in eight years to fund programs for women around the world.
Profits from Eve Ensler & Gloria Feldt at Riverspace will be donated to V-day.

Gloria Feldt will interview Ms. Ensler. Ms. Feldt is the past National President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She is often a guest on national radio and television programs and is much in demand as a speaker and expert on women’s health and women’s rights. Ms. Feldt was Glamour Magazine’s "Woman of the Year and Vanity Fair called her one of "the top 200 women legends, leaders and trailblazers."

Eve Ensler and Gloria Feldt will join patrons after the program. Riverspace Café will be open and serving light fare.
