An aging, isolated chimpanzee pieces together the fragments of her childhood in a human family. Bleak reality bleeds to vivid memory in this nonverbal puppet play. Nick Lehane's Chimpanzee is inspired by true events.
Lehane's puppet work has shown at The Jim Henson Carriage House, St. Ann's Warehouse Puppet Lab, Puppet BloK at Dixon Place, Special Effects Festival at The Wild Project, and Pillsbury House Theatre in Minneapolis. Nick studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and holds a B.F.A. from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
