Andrew Bird

Evolving from the mid-90’s swing craze as a member of The Squirrel Nut Zippers and incorporating elements of jazz, gypsy and classical, Andrew Bird wields his guitar, violin, and prodigious whistling skills in a complex and evocative blend of indie folk rock. Looping his own violin tracks, Bird weaves a warm string bed to cradle his eloquent lyrics, creating songs at once haunting, lonely and wholly unique.
