About This Show

Allow the music of Elton John to carry you to a far off place. Captured during battle, Aida is a Nubian princess rescued from slave labor by the Egyptian captain Radames. He positions her as the handmaiden to Amneris, an Egyptian princess and his future bride. Conflict arises when Radames falls in love with Aida, who in turn develops a deep friendship with Amneris. Meanwhile, Aida feels the pull of duty toward her countrymen and struggles to reconcile her deeply conflicting devotions. Loyalty, betrayal, love, and courage lead these three on a course that will forever change their lives. With spectacular costumes, dynamic performances and a pop score that features stirring ballads and rousing choral numbers, Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida is exhilarating!
