Allow the music of Elton John to carry you to a far off place. Captured during battle, Aida is a Nubian princess rescued from slave labor by the Egyptian captain Radames. He positions her as the handmaiden to Amneris, an Egyptian princess and his future bride. Conflict arises when Radames falls in love with Aida, who in turn develops a deep friendship with Amneris. Meanwhile, Aida feels the pull of duty toward her countrymen and struggles to reconcile her deeply conflicting devotions.
