About This Show

Join Comix for a double play of solo shows. Hosted by comedian Matt McCarthy, Joe Mande and Livia Scott present their own one person shows. In Workdays with Maury, comedian Joe Mande tells this true and painful story of working as an unpaid intern at The Maury Povich Show for college credit. Named one of Heeb Magazine’s 100 Jews to Watch, Mande is a regular panelist on VH1’s Best Week Ever and won an ECNY Award for Best Emerging Comic of 2007. Workdays with Maury will then be followed by Livia Scott presenting Goodnight, O.J, which is based on real letters written to O.J. Simpson. The hilarious and sometimes disturbing piece garnered a nomination for Best Solo Show by The ECNY Awards. Praised by the Comedy Central Insider as “A character chameleon extraordinaire,” Livia has been featured in The New York Times, The NY Post, and Time Out New York and has appeared on Late Night with Conan Brien and Comedy Central’s Motherload.
