About This Show

LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts presents Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, directed by Harry Shifman and performed by outstanding dance, drama and music students at the famed school. Performers, orchestra, technical crew, set execution, etc., all come from within this remarkable school, for a production that promises to be a vibrant and contemporary telling of the classic show. This is a special production for a special year: the 20th Anniversary of the merging of two great schools: The High School of Music & Art and the High School of Performing Arts.
