About the Show
The Pool is a powerful original dramatic play that explores the grief-stricken waters that carry us from devastating loss toward the possibility of hope. Centered on the urgent need for honest conversation around suicide loss, this deeply human play invites audiences into a shared space of memory, mourning, healing, and connection. Jessica did everything she could to convince Phillip to stay alive after she left, but ultimately, they both lost the fight for his life. Now, she clings to his ghost, their memories, and the love that still haunts every room, as she struggles to stay above the drowning waters of life after suicide. Raw, tender, and unflinchingly honest, The Pool gives voice to the aftermath of a loss too many people carry in silence, and asks what it means to keep living when love becomes both an anchor and a lifeline.
