The Pleasure Man

Charles Busch stars in the first New York revival of Mae West’s legendary 1928 play The Pleasure Man in a staged reading to benefit the Hourglass Group’s fourth season of provocative new plays and The Actors’ Fund’s Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative. The cast features 40 actors drawn from the Broadway, downtown, indie film and drag communities including: David Drake, Cynthia Darlow, Alice Playten, Peter Jacobson, Flotilla deBarge, Sunrize
Highway, Murray Hill, Brini Maxwell,Cashetta, Nina Hellman (Sex, Red Frogs), Bruce Kronenberg (The Exonerated), Jeremy Shamos (Shakespeare Abridged) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Amour). The benefit committee includes Michael Cerveris (Hedwig), Hugh Hayes,Terry Kinney, John Cameron Mitchell, Cynthia
