The Music of Eric Whitacre

World-renowned composer Eric Whitacre will conduct selections of his critically-acclaimed work, including the debut of a new installment of “Animal Crackers”, his work based on the poetry of Ogden Nash, commissioned by DCINY’s Premiere Project.

Featuring Distinguished Concerts Singers International: Capital High School (MT), Cedar Hill High School (TX), Sprague HighSchool (OR), UMKC Conservatory of Music (MO).Olathe East Symphonic Winds, led by director Eric Griffin, will perform several classic and contemporary works.

Guestconductor Eric Whitacre will join the ensemble to conduct his piece Cloudburst.
